What’s with this crazy fall weather we are having in August?  Christy Wilhelmi of Gardenerd will shed some light on how to keep your garden from going into shock!  She will also share her knowledge about harvesting your summer garden as well as many yummy ways to utilize your abundant crops.  You will also learn how to amend your soil for the fall season and  we will be taking orders for the fall line up of hard-to-find fruits and veggies from Ardenwoods Edibles.

EVENT • Earth Day Ball – Silver Lake, CA

Join the Silver Lake Chamber of Commerce Green Committee as we create the Earth Day Ball. On Wednesday, April 22, from 10am – 4pm, as part of our ongoing campaign to make Silver Lake a Bring Your Own Bag neighborhood, we will join together plastic shopping bags collected in Silver Lake creating a giant plastic ball to demonstrate the amount of trash we create and celebrate the businesses who have pledged to eliminate plastic bags from their stores.

Inspired by the book “Theo and the Giant Plastic Ball,” this event will be an inspiring, empowering opportunity for the community to make an impact on our local environment, the City of Los Angeles and the world.
